VitalSigns installs digital signage video wall at Hitachi Data Systems headquarters in Santa Clara, CA

Executives visiting Hitachi Data Systems’ corporate headquarters in Santa Clara, CA are now welcomed and informed by a new digital sign video wall installed by VitalSigns.

The synchronized multipanel video wall display is featured in the Hitachi Data Systems Executive Briefing Center main entrance/welcoming area. The EBC is where HDS invites key decision makers and client IT people from around the world. Located around the welcome area are several executive conference and training rooms for briefing clients on Hitachi Data Systems’ latest technology.

The installation was designed, engineered and installed by VitalSigns for Beyond Pix Studios and the creative design and content were produced by Paul Supplee Productions. The screens are fed by VitalSigns syncronized digital sign video wall display computers and content can be refreshed remotely through VitalSigns digital sign content management system (CMS).

Paul Supplee, Executive Producer for the firm bearing his name, said Hitachi Data Systems’ objectives were threefold. “HDS’s objectives were to present, through moving images and text, short stories about the many different industries to which HDS provides vital technology,” Supplee said. “They needed to be able to quickly upload new content or tailor the order of the stories to accommodate special presentations in the EBC or welcome special guests. And they wanted to keep not only clients and prospective clients, but also HDS employees informed about the bigger picture of what HDS is involved in and all about.”

Now that the new video wall is operating, Supplee is getting reactions from EBC staff and guests. “The system is working beautifully and everyone is very pleased,” Supplee said. “It gets people to stop in the EBC to watch the videos instead of just walking by to get to their next meeting or training session. Comments from everyone so far are that they love the video wall displays and that the videos are beautiful.”

As content producer for the display panels, Supplee said the videos running on the system carry the message that HDS provides technology to make their clients’ worlds better, safer, more secure, and more efficient. “Screen clarity and resolution are great,” Supplee said, “and our client is extremely happy with the way the stories are showcased. Now I have to produce more stories and get them up there as quickly as possible. I would like to say ‘thank you’ to everyone at VitalSigns for helping me make this project a wonderful success!”
